We’ve officially made it to spring! Time to put those winter woes behind us and welcome the start of a new season. For me, the start of spring has always felt like a reset button on not only my life, but also my wardrobe. Cue the floral dresses, pastel espadrilles and bright, fun statement bags.
A good statement bag can go a long way when it comes to accessorizing and elevating your overall look, whether you’re dressed down or a bit more formal. There are so many beautiful styles to choose from that are guaranteed to go easy on your wallet. Especially if it’s a straw or woven bag like this one I wore during my trip to the Bahamas back in January, a lower price tag won’t leave you feeling as bad when the material wears a bit quicker. I tend to spend no more than $100 on a spring or summer statement bag because I like to stock up on 2 or 3 different styles to have on rotation.
Take a peek below at a few I’m eyeing for the upcoming months!
A square crossbody is such a fun way to add a geometric twist to any outfit. It comes in two different colors, perfect for a day to night transition from the office or beach to drinks.
The round woven wicker bag featured here most closely resembles the one I’m wearing above (that has since sold out). I love how compact it is, perfect for a day trip or night out where you only need your phone and wallet. It’s on my list of things to pack when I head to Charleston this summer!
The variety of textures this cross-embossed number boasts makes it a colorful and vibrant compliment to your summer whites. Remove the shoulder strap to add a flirty, but still classic, twist.
This bag is as chic as it is vegan-friendly. I picked this one up on my latest shopping trip and the all-white body goes perfectly with almost everything (also comes in red and black)! I’ve been pairing it with a pair of high-waisted, wide-leg linen pants, mustard-toned suede mules, and a blue and white striped crop top.
I have adored this bag ever since I saw the way Kathleen Barnes styled it in one of her posts! It’s such a sleek design for a mini tote and you can wear it to the office or out for date night. The best part? You can monogram it for an added personal touch. It is on the max end of the budget, though, but worth the investment nonetheless.
